(圖多,中文也多 ) Chou Chao Tzu is a Taiwanese-style teppanyaki restaurant in Taipei. We really like it, share to you.

 

Typical ingredients used for Taiwanese-style teppanyaki are beef, pork, chicken, shrimp, fish; basic vegetables are cabbage and bean sprouts. Rice usually accompany the meal; but in here; rice porridge and traditional Taiwanese pickles are the other good choice that you cannot miss!!

(*an unlimited supply for their rice, congee and beverage.)

 

這是一間品嘗完,還會令我回味再三的鐵板燒餐廳

台灣常見的鐵板燒基本上以主菜一種(肉類、海鮮、香菇等)

外加青菜二種(90%為炒高麗菜和炒豆芽),並附上一碗白飯為主

但周照子特別的地方是在於

鐵板料理搭配清粥小菜

毫無違和感又彼此相襯的組合

 

古早味的地瓜粥、醃漬小菜、甚至還有他們自己滷製的品項任君選擇

我很喜歡吃清粥小菜,但喜歡配著熱騰騰的菜餚享用

「周照子」就滿足了我這個簡單卻不易的渴求

(白飯、粥、飲料 三種皆無限索取喔)

 

 

We enjoyed watching the skilled maneuvers of the chefs preparing the food as well as the cuisine itself.

 

At the latest time, we order one family combination meal that can offer 3 people sharing. Total NT$620, about 20.6 USD is average consumption. The main dishes are stir-fry sliced pork with onion, saute fish and diced sausage with dried dofu. And we can also choose 3 side dishes such as pork floss, wheat gluten, pickled cucumbers… etc.; trust me they all go well with congee. You can find those cuisines as following sharing.

 

我喜歡鐵板料理,我喜歡看著食材在你眼前跳動翻滾的弧線

我喜歡看廚師拿著鐵鏟自信地在你面前展示廚藝的表演

周照子,一間從傳統走向創新的餐廳,一個蘊藏著平實價格和樸實美味的地方

 

我們第一次到訪,點了家庭合餐(NT$620)

其實這算是三人份量,除了基本的鐵板料理外,總共可挑選三樣小菜

有些是常見的配料或醃漬品

像是肉鬆、麵筋、醬瓜等等

但也有店家自己滷製的小菜喔

建議試試他們的獨門手藝吧

小菜也能成為飯碗裡的大亮點

  

 

 

Peeled chili pepper. Don’t be scared by their name, it’s salty, mild with no spicy.

小菜三選之一:剝皮辣椒。名字很嚇人,實際卻很溫和,這是絲毫不辣的剝皮辣椒()

 

 

Braised tofu. Soft, juicy and filled with marinade. Taste good!

小菜三選之二:店家自己滷製的板豆腐

我非常喜歡板豆腐,喜歡它吸附醬汁的Q彈飽滿以及入口即化的口感,

我覺得它被放上桌時晃頭晃腦卻又馬上裝鎮定的感覺好可愛

哈哈哈 

 

 

Braised daikon. Smooth, juicy and filled with marinade. I like it.

小菜三選之三:滷蘿蔔

滷得很透,不鹹不甜不淡的滑順好滋味,小菜可見真功夫

 

 

Sweet potato Congee.

好豐盛的地瓜粥,飯粒已經軟綿到不太需要咀嚼

可能是我們一開店就上座了,所以鍋子裡的地瓜塊還蠻好盛的,不會稀少到讓我大海撈針

喜歡這種傳統樸實的古早味,搭配鐵板燒熱食料理,嘴巴好滿足,心裡在跳舞

    

 

 

They provide wasabi sauce to dip the diced filet mignon.

搭配芥末醬好創意,完全沒有違和感

微微嗆辣的wasabi不會搶了牛排的味道

反而把腦海中對於牛排的味覺重新翻轉成全新口感

建議一上桌就掃光它吧,溫熱的小嚼勁也許讓你愛不釋口

 

 

The diced filet mignon, well-done is common cookery in Taiwanese-style teppanyaki.

切成骰子狀的菲力牛,不能說是非常軟嫩,畢竟不是高級牛排

(在台灣,如果沒有跟店家提醒熟度,一般應該都是煎成全熟)

如果像我一樣,喜愛豬排口感的人

應該也會喜歡略有嚼勁的牛排

並不會韌到咬不動噢

 

 

Stir-fry sliced pork with onion, bean sprouts and cabbage. You can ask to have some chili within cuisines if you like spicy taste.

Tender and smooth. Yummy!!

微微溼潤的炒豬肉,洋蔥永遠是最佳拍檔

鹹淡恰到好處,單吃也行,配熱飯或熱粥,又是一個好幸福好滿足

 

 

Highly recommend to drop some lemon juice into the flesh of fish. So palatable…!!

我好喜歡滴上檸檬汁的鮮魚

煎到恰到好處的表面,內裡卻是滑順柔軟的魚肉

沾酌一點點椒鹽,檸檬清爽+魚肉鮮嫩+表皮酥香+椒鹽微鹹

我的天呀!! 這種吃法真的好美味

(有些魚可能有刺噢,吃的時候千萬要留意,不然也可以詢問師傅)

 

 

Pan-fry diced sausage with dried dofu. You cannot resist have one bite after another.

香腸豆丁

一般我在外面便當很少點香腸,因為多數是肥肉過多過油又膩口

但周照子的香腸瘦肉偏多,所以口感札實不軟爛

配上丁狀的豆干,我一口接一口完全停不了

每道都是下飯配粥的好料理

 

 

They use one bamboo basket to transfer some stuff between 1 and 2 floors.

it’s really fun, maybe you can pay attention to the wall behind the chefs if you sit at 1 floor.

店內有一個竹藍子

是負責在一、二樓間傳送物品的

偶爾看到它快速上升下降,覺得好有趣,復古又有新意

如果你坐在一樓,可以觀察一下師傅身後的那片牆噢

 

 

No reservation service. Please go early or later. Late night supper maybe is a good choice because they open till 3AM.

 

Please follow the steps as below for ordering, it’s very easy to do:

Menu is put into basket hang on at the door -- >

Choose the one you like and tick on the menu -- >

Deliver the menu to waiter -- >

They will arrange and tell you waiting number -- >

Waiting their call (don’t go too far avoid missing)

 

店家不接受訂位

想品嘗的朋友,最好在營業前就先抵達門口稍微等一下,應該是第一輪就可以進場了

宵夜時段也是不錯的選擇,因為他們營業到凌晨三點噢!

 

*我們當天18:10左右入座,不到18:30門口已經大排長龍。

這間只適合「18:00早食場」或是「超晚宵夜場」

如果適逢用餐時間,可能要等很久喲,提供參考~

 

點餐方式:

在門口先拿菜單 -- > 劃單後交給服務生 -- > 他們會排號 -- > 等待叫號入座
